Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of beercanpickup.com (the "Service"), operated by Beer Can Pick Up LLC ("BeerCanPickup", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Young Users

The Service is intended to help youth earn money through recycling. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may not use another person's account or create an account using false information.

3. How the Service Works

BeerCanPickup connects two kinds of users: "Neighbours" (people with empty beverage containers) and "Collectors" (people, often youth, who collect those containers). Collectors claim map "routes" and are notified of pickup requests in their area. BeerCanPickup is a platform that facilitates these connections; we are not a party to the arrangements between users.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Collectors pay a recurring subscription of $20 per month, per route (so a collector with three routes pays $60 per month).
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Misrepresent your identity, location, or recycling activity.
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or overload the Service.
  • Claim routes or areas you do not genuinely intend to service.

6. Safety & In-Person Activity

Pickups happen in the real world between people who may not know each other. You are responsible for your own safety and conduct. We strongly recommend that young users participate with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or guardian. BeerCanPickup does not employ users, does not supervise pickups, and is not responsible for the actions of users or for any interaction, injury, or loss that occurs in connection with a pickup.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeerCanPickup is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from interactions between users. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of America, unless your local law requires otherwise.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
